English: The Great Reredos, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. 1919-1924. Concept and design by Walter Gilbert; modelling by Louis Weingartner; stone machine-carved by H. H. Martyn’s of Cheltenham. Photo by Phillip Medhurst. The Last Supper. Within the piers are the massed sculptures; at the base is the altar, and from the table-level a wide arch rises, enclosing the longtitudinal panel, 14 ft. by 7 ft., of the Last Supper.
