Description
English: The location of a memorial to the Abbe de la Caille and Thomas Maclear, at Aurora in the Western Cape of South Africa, looking South. The peak of the Kasteelberg mountain, one of the beacons used, is visible in the far distance just to the right of the signpost. In this photograph Table Mountain, another of the beacons, is not visible.
