| Description |
English: Loch of Lintrathen Nature Reserve Loch of Lintrathen is located north of Alyth in western Angus. It is a mid-altitude oligotrophic-mesotrophic loch occupying a glacial basin. It is used as a water supply reservoir. In winter, the site is a roost for internationally important numbers of the Icelandic population of Greylag Goose Anser anser. The geese feed away from the SPA on surrounding agricultural land during the day. http://www.jncc.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=1966 |
