| Description |
English: Eastward up Ludgate Hill to St Pauls, past City Thameslink station, 1994. In the 'Good Old Days', the numerous freight trains crossing London on the 'Metropolitan Widened Lines' used to cross here on a bridge over Ludgate Hill, until the route was revived as the radical new Thameslink route, opened on 25/4/88. The station was opened on 29/5/90 and briefly called 'St Pauls Thameslink'. Up ahead is of course St Pauls Cathedral. |
