Summary[edit]

Description I took these photos of Virgin Creek Falls in Girdwood, Alaska, in August 2011. I can't believe I lived here in Alaska for so long and have never been here before - I had never even heard of the falls until a year or two ago. We checked out the falls on a fine, sunny morning. They are easy to reach - I don't think the trail is more than 1/4 mile long - but there isn't a lot of room at the base to set up a tripod or move around. You almost need rappelling gear to get to the other shooting areas. Despite that it was definitely worth the trip, and I'm sure I'll go back a few more times!
