Summary[edit]

Description
English: Looking up Bottom Dumble. Dumbles are the steep sided valleys typical of this corner of Nottinghamshire where streams have scoured out valleys from the glacial deposits. Typically they have accumulated tree growth along the streams due to the very steep side of the watercourses themselves. Not evident in this picture is the fact that the stream bed is a good 5 metres lower than the surrounding fields, as can be seen in 1013765.
