Summary[edit]

Description Lot-2916-1: Russian Intervention, 1918-1920. Americans Now Use Czar’s Barracks. The commodious military barracks in Bialystok, built by the Czar of Russia for the quartering of troops in Poland, have been turned into an American Red Cross warehouse. Instead of Military maneuvers the parade ground is now used to sort American relief supplies. This picture gives an idea of the warehouse being done the Red Cross to succor hundreds of the thousands of Polish war sufferers. Photograph received February 1920. American Red Cross Collection.
