English: Blackpool - Euston express at Loughton Siding, near the site of Milton Keynes station. View NW, towards Rugby and the North, WCML. The 08.00 Blackpool Central - London Euston is headed by Rebuilt 'Patriot' 7P 4-6-0 No. 45514 'Holyhead' (built 9/32, rebuilt 3/47, withdrawn 6/61). This is just about where Milton Keynes Central station (opened 17/5/82) is located! (See also SP8535 : Up Cup Final Special on the WCML north of Bletchley, SP8338 : Down freight on the WCML near Loughton Siding Box and SP8536 : Up Manchester express south of the site of the present Milton Keynes Central Station. |
