Stagg-Hecht. Beneath a white floral wedding bell suspended from an arch decorated with green foliage. Miss Louise Hecht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Hecht, Harris street, Haledon, was united In marriage in Cedar Cliff M. E. church Tuesday evening to Melvin H. Stags, son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Stagg, Norwood street, Haledon, by the Rev. G. Oorlsse, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. W. S. McCowan, former pastor. The nuptial knot was tied in the presence of a host of relatives and friends that crowded the edifice. The bride, dressed in canton crepe with trimmings of Imported lace and pearls, was attended by her sister, Miss Josephine Hecht, who wore sunburst taffeta, trimmed with' silver lace. Both the bride and her attendant wore hats to match their gowns. Richard Van Riper Fleming, Whitestone, L. I officiated as best man. The setting for the wedding was exquisite. The church was elaborately decorated tor the occasion with palms, ferns and cut flowers. In the midst of all this glory the bridal party entered the church to tho rains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, played by Miss Maude McQuillan, organist of the church, who is the groom's aunt. The ring ceremony was used. The Hecht residence was filled with relatives and friends at a reception given In honor of the popular young bride and groom following the wedding ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Stags are now spending their honeymoon. In a tour of the New England states. On their return they will be In readiness to entertain their friends In their home in Prospect Park, In which borough the bride was a school teacher. The groom is connected with the claim department of a large New York Insurance company. The bride was the recipient of many handsome and costly gifts. Martlndale, Mr. and Mrs. O'Blenis, Mr. and Mrs. R. McQuillan, Mrs. I. Shirley. Mrs. F. M. Stagg and daughter; Mrs. E. Watson and daughter; the Miaies Mary Bartllng, Josephine, Trina, Mary, Elsie and Minnie Farber, Mary and Josephine Hecht, Helen, Josephine and Ruth De Block, Adrian Dornhelm, Agnes Stagg, Loretta Stagg, .Florence Smythe, Beatrice Tanis, Mnrjorle Stansfleld, Maude and Bessie McQuillan; the Rev. Mr. McCowan, Garry Farber, Cornelius and Rudolph Hecht, Cornelius and William De Block, George Smythe, George Bernasconi, John Stagg, Richard V. Fleming and Richard Caufleld. The ushers at the wedding were George Bermasconi, George Smythe Garry Farber and Rudolph Hecht.
