Description
Español: Diagrama de una sección transversal tomada horizontalmente a través de la parte inferior de la protuberancia de un tronco encefálico humano y teñida con el método Kluver-Barrera. Debido al método de tinción, la materia blanca (axones) aparece azul y la materia gris (cuerpos celulares) aparece gris claro.

Notas:

  • Anterior es abajo, posterior es arriba.
  • El tracto espinal del nervio trigémino puede verse a veces rodeando el núcleo espinal del nervio trigémino, pero fue imposible distinguirlo del pedúnculo cerebeloso inferior en la diapositiva original.
  • El lemnisco espinal (incluido el tracto espinotalámico) y el cuerpo trapezoidal tampoco pudieron distinguirse, pero probablemente se encuentran anteromedialmente al núcleo olivar superior, mezclándose con el tracto tegmental central y el lemnisco medial.
  • La formación reticular pontina (nº 9) y los núcleos pontinos (nº 22) son estructuras grandes y difusas.
