Description
English: British Royal Marine Lt. Gen. Gordon K. Messenger, deputy commander of NATO's Allied Land Command (center) speaks with 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division's 2nd Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, commander, Lt. Col. Mark Purdy (left), and a Royal Netherlands Army, 11th Airmobile Brigade, leader during a joint air assault training exercise between the two units. Lt. Gen. Messenger visited Fort Bragg, N.C., to observe the efforts the two units have made to increase interoperability between allied forces during the month-long partnership.
