Description
English: The arms show the bar taken from the arms of the Lords Von dem Bottlemberg, who ruled the area in medieval times. The upper half shows the lion of the Counts of Berg, who ruled the area after the former family. The lower half shows a cross, for the Beyenburg Abbey. The arms were granted on November 20, 1893.
Deutsch: Blasonierung: In Silber (Weiß) geteilt durch einen schwarzen Wechselzinnenbalken, oben einen steigenden blaubewehrten roten Löwen (Bergischer Löwe) und unten ein rotes Kreuz, welches für die Burg Beyenburg steht. Das Oberwappen besteht aus einer silbernen (weißen) Mauerkrone mit drei Türmen und einem rotem Tor. Das Wappen wurde am 20.November 1893 eingeführt.
