Summary[edit]

Description

Interstitial emphysema in an adult male with pulmonary fibrosis. The presence of air in tissue evokes a giant cell reaction that may also be seen in colitis cystica profunda and reactive eosinophilic pleuritis associated with pneumothorax. This should not be mistaken for a granulomatous disease.
