Description
Hrvatski: Velika čitaonica Hrvatskog državnog arhiva. Na 15 metara visine nalazi se spušteni strop tj. spušteni vitraji. Sa spuštenog stropa vise dva lustera svaki težine 970 kg. Izrađeni su u Beču od mjedi s pozlatom i kristalnog stakla vrhunske kvalitete, kao i lampe na stolovima. Ukrug čitave dvorane na visini od 4 metra nalazi se galerija u kojoj je smještena knjižnica Arhiva. Magistralno djelo čitaonice je golema kompozicija Vlahe Bukovca "Razvitak hrvatske kulture" koja je smještena iznad središnjeg nosivog luka. Slikana svjetlom kromatskom skalom, bojama mjestimice prozračnim poput akvarela, slika prikazuje povorku od 27 hrvatskih velikana. Slijeva na desno se između ostalog nalaze Marko Marulić, Julije Klović, Petar Zrinski, Marin Getaldić, Ivan Gundulić u apoteozi, Ruđer Bošković, Maksimilijan Vrhovac, Ljudevit Gaj i J. J. Strossmayer. Između druge i treće osobe zdesna uguran je jedan portret koji vjerojatno propada Rudolfu Lubynskom.
