Description
English:
Lutheran church in Bánk. Built in 1783 and 1784. Rieger pipe organ built in 1892 in Krnov (Jägerndorf), remodelled in 1905 at Rieger Budapest Branch. Main altarpiece 'Christ on the Cross' by Ödön Edvi Illés, 1903 works. World War I and WWII plaques - Hősök Square, Bánk, Nógrád County, Hungary.

Bánki evangélikus templom. - A tóparti sétányon található templom tájékoztatója alapján: már a kezdetektől nagy területet fogott össze itt az isten szolgája. Régi iratok alapján Felsőpetény 1681-től Bánkhoz tartozott és még 1775-ben is együtt voltak. Nógrád 1774-től 180 éven át Bánk leányegyháza volt. Evangélikus leányegyháza még Rétság, Nagyoroszi, Szokolya, Diósjenő. A Krisztus a keresztfán c. főoltárképet Edvi Illés Ödön 1903-ban festette. A szószékhez kőlépcső vezet a falban. A lépcső felett latin nyelvű, régi (építéskori?) emléktábla. Homlokzati emléktáblák: hősi halottak emlékére 1914-1918, és 1939-1945 - Nógrád vármegye, Bánk, Hősök tere.
