Description
English: Memorial inaugurated on 26th May 1990, composed of a stone and a Bren Gun Carrier Mark 1, rue du purgatoire in Mouscron, Belgium. Recalling the « clash » that took place during the Second World War, between May 22nd and 27th, 1940, between British and German soldiers. It killed 35 people, 18 British, 12 Germans and 5 civilians.
Français : Mémorial inauguré le 26 mai 1990, composé d’une pierre et d’un Bren Gun Carrier Mark 1, rue du purgatoire à Mouscron, Belgique. Rappelant « l’accrochage » qui eut lieu pendant la seconde guerre mondiale, entre le 22 et le 27 mai 1940 opposant des soldats britanniques et allemands. Celui-ci fit 35 morts, 18 britanniques, 12 allemands et 5 civils.
