Description
Français : Four belge à régénérateur de Carl Wilhelm Siemens utilisé à Monteponi. Le four ne dispose que de 3 rangées de 30 creusets chacune, mais chaque rangée (ou devanture) dispose de son propre laboratoire. Les briques du régénérateur sont situées sous le four et sont empilées de manière à former des canaux horizontaux. L'air chauffé arrive par une extrémité du laboratoire, qu'il parcourt dans toute sa longueur, alors que le gaz est introduit par une série d'ouvreaux aménagés dans le mur du fond. Le papillon d'inversion est situé en haut, au milieu du massif. L'appareil a été mis en service à Monteponi. Il n'y a pas été très efficace, notamment à cause de la grande longueur du four qui complique l'équirépartition des gaz.
