Description

MALTESE BREAD ( HOBZ TAL-MALTI )

Malta is famous for it's irresistible bread. The Maltese bread is crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. It's best to eat it on the same day it was baked. The Maltese bread can be eaten as accompaniment to many food, most popular with soups, stews and where grave is involved. Another way to enjoy the Maltese bread is to try the Tradition Hobz biz-zejt. Cut into slices, rub with fresh tomatoes, drizzled with olive oil and add a mixture of tuna, capers, onions, olives, mint and sprinkle some pepper. This is simply delicious, you try it once and you'll beg for more.

A long trestle table loaded with different types of Maltese bread loaves, ftajjar and bread in a ring form, flour, yeast and dough. Maltese bread is considered one of the best types in the World. Bakers generally work in the early hours of the day so that their clientele would have freshly baked bread ready to be eaten. The dark crispy crust makes Maltese bread unique - MALTA
