Deutsch: Ein selbstgeschneiderter Traum aus Seide
Zart glänzt die champagnerfarbene Seide, ein Hauch von Schleier umspielt die Silhouette der Braut. Zur Hochzeit mit Friedrich Schier am 3. April 1916 erfüllte sich die Näherin Emma Harnack aus Berlin ihren Traum in Weiß. Das Kleid war zwar nicht aus hochwertiger Seide, aber immerhin aus Seidentaft, der im Ersten Weltkrieg ebenso schwer zu kaufen war.Betonte Taille, lange Schleppe, Tüllkragen – das Kleid vereinte alle Elemente der zeitgenössischen Brautmode. Der immergrüne Myrtenkranz sowie die kleinen Myrtenzweiger der Schleppe versprachen ewiges Eheglück. Zusammen mit dem Brautstrauß und sämtlichen Accessoires bewahrte Emma Schier ihre Traumrobe ein Leben lang auf. Ein Hobby End also? Nicht ganz. Die Ehe blieb kinderlos., Das kleine Babyjäckchen, das Freunde dem Paar zur Hochzeit geschenkt hatten, hob Emma Schier bis zu ihrem Tod auf. Es erinnert wehmütig an diesen unerfüllten Traum |
