Description

El ministro de Defensa Jakke Valakivi recibió al Jefe de Estado Mayor de la Armada Española, Almirante General Jaime Muñoz-Delgado Díaz del Río, quien se encuentra en visita oficial en nuestro país.


Ambos dialogaron acerca de los excelentes vínculos que el Perú y España mantienen en los ámbitos de Defensa y Seguridad, y revisaron la agenda de cooperación expresada en proyectos como la construcción del Buque Escuela a Vela “Unión”, y el Buque Oceanográfico Polar.


Posteriormente, el ministro Valakivi condecoró al Almirante General Muñoz-Delgado con la Orden Cruz Peruana al Mérito Naval en grado de Gran Cruz-Distintivo Blanco, por contribuir a estrechar los lazos de amistad y cooperación entre las Armadas de ambos países.


En la ceremonia participaron el Comandante General de la Marina, Almirante Edmundo Deville, y el Ministro Consejero de la Embajada de España en el Perú, Jorge Sánchez Rodríguez.
