Summary[edit]

Description
English: Silver fraternity plaques in the Treasury of the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht, Netherlands. These plaques were attached to processional staffs and carried in processions by members of fraternities. The plaque on the left was made by local silversmith Fredericus Wery around 1716 for the Fraternity of the Holy Sacrament, based in the Chapel of Saint Catherine in Boschstraat, at that time the temporary dwelling of Saint Mathew's parish. The plaque on the right, featuring a skull and the text Memento Mori, was made by Johannes Wery for the Fraternity of the Blessed Souls in Purgatory in the same parish.
