Description
English: The three main parachutes fill with air, slowing the CST-100's descent. The airbags will soon inflate. Boeing is drawing on experience gained in the Apollo missions of the 1960s and '70s to develop and test the commercial crew transportation system, for example re-entry and ocean landing data from the Apollo program has been used to reduce risk and validate post re-entry landing and recovery capability of the CST-100.
