Summary[edit]

Description

A typical square water pond in India, called a tank.

These tanks were the old water sources connected to temples, towns and villages. Partially replaced by modern well, overhead tanks and water systems, most are still in active use and dot the city and countryside.

This one was chock full of water life with fish, frogs, even a couple water snakes spotted. People would down to feed the fish rice crisps, the kids giggling and completely absorbed in their task could have been in Central Park or the Toronto Zoo, showing one of the many examples of the true universality of all cultures and people.
