Remarks:

  • (A-H): Note the presence of a fifth loph in (C and D), and the weak to absent cingulum in all four M. pacificus specimens (contrast with the strong cingulum development in F).
  • (I-P): Note the absence or weak development of a cingulum in (I–L), and the variable morphology of the posterior to the fourth lophid, particularly in M. americanum
  • (Q and R): Note the weak cingulum development in (Q) and strong development in (R)
  • (EE-FF): Note the partial third loph in both taxa
  • (GG-HH): Note the partial third lophid in both taxa
