| Description |
Deutsch: Kampfgruppe B 3 der 3. Panzerdivision (Bundeswehr, Bundesrepublik Deutschland) im Raum der Schlei und Trittau. Im Bild Kampfpanzer vom Typ M 47 (Patton I) überqueren die Schlei über die Pontonbrücke bei Missunde am 8. Okt. 1957. Die Panzer führten große, weisse oder weiss gerahmte Turmnummern, jedoch war das "Schwarze Kreuz bzw. Tatzenkreuz" als Nationalitäts- und Hoheitsabzeichen für gepanzerte Fahrzeuge der neuen Bundeswehr noch nicht angebracht oder vorgeschrieben. Der KPz M47 aus US-Produktion wurde ab 1956 in den Panzer- und Panzeraufklärungsbataillonen des Heeres der Bundeswehr eingeführt. U. a. waren die Panzerbataillone 363 und 364 der PzBrig 36 in Külsheim (Main-Tauber-Kreis, Baden-Württemberg) von 1964 bis 1968 mit dem KPz M47 "Patton" ausgerüstet. English: Battlegroup B 3 of the West German Bundeswehr 3rd Armored Division in the area of the Schlei and Trittau. The picture shows tanks of the type M 47 (Patton I) crossing the Schlei over the pontoon bridge near Missunde, Oct. 8, 1957. The tanks had large, white or white-framed turret numbers, but the "black cross or paw cross" was not yet attached or prescribed as a nationality and sovereignty insignia for armored vehicles of the new Bundeswehr. The KPz M47 from US production was introduced in the German Army's tank and armored reconnaissance battalions from 1956. Among others, the 363 and 364 tank battalions of PzBrig 36 in Külsheim (Main-Tauber district, Baden-Württemberg) were equipped with the KPz (Main battle tank) M47 "Patton" from 1964 to 1968. |
