English: LMS Fowler 4F 0-6-0 at Manchester Victoria. View NW across the Through lines from the long Platform 3/11, at Exchange/Victoria, as in SJ8499 : Banking engines for the Miles Platting Bank at Manchester Victoria, of the Banker for assisting trains up to Miles Platting. This 4F 0-6-0, No. 44543 (built 1928, withdrawn 5/64) is fitted with a tender-cab - a rather rare luxury for the crew to work tender-first in harsh weather conditions. |
