Summary[edit]
DescriptionManjakamiadana fortress.jpg |
English: MANJAKAMIADANA,
This name has existed since the reign of Andrianamponimerina (1792-1810). Originally made of wood by Jean Laborde, the palace was meant as a present for the Queen, Ranavalona the 1st in 1839. At this time, it was 30 meters long, 18 meters wide and 41,35 meters high. During the construction, Rainitsontsoroka made a crane to lift a tall pillar. The stone coverage of the palace was a work led by James Cameron (1800-1875) in 1869. After that, the dimension changed to a 42 meters long and 31 meters wide. This information is written in a stone within the fortress, which is a donation from the Carlton Hotel.Malagasy : MANJAKAMIADANA,
