English: The traditional "Mantan lakitus" ("The capping of Manta"), performed on Vappu Eve (30 April) as part of the festive ceremonies. The event involves a group of university or technical university students placing a traditional Finnish student cap on the head of Havis Amanda, a statue of a nude woman in a fountain, in Kauppatori, central Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland.
