Marguerite Godin studied under Boulanger, Bonnat and Jules Lefebvre. She was awarded a bronze medal and the Marie Bashkirtseff Prize in 1889; was a member of the Académie Julian in 1890; and received an honorable mention at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1900.
