Description
English: Marienberg, townhall - door with carvings of miners (formed 1938/39).
Deutsch: Marienberg: bergmännische Schnitzereien an der Eingangstür des Rathauses. Das Marienberger Rathaus verfügt über ein von Michael Speyer geschaffenes Renaissanceportal aus der Zeit um 1540. Es ist eines der sehenswertesten Portale dieser Art in Sachsen. Bei der Renovierung 1938/39 wurde eine Eingangstür eingebaut, die an der Schlagseite Schnitzarbeiten mit Motiven aus dem Bergmannsleben zeigt. Die Schnitzarbeiten stammen von Reinhold Langner.
