| Description |
Pine Marten Martes martes visiting our cottage at Craig Highland Farm to scoff food we'd left out for them. The European Pine Marten has a decent foothold in the North West of the Scottish Highlands, but is much less common in the rest of the UK. We were visited by a number of them on two successive nights towards the end of our stay at Craig Highland. Apparently they are very partial to peanut butter and jam. We didn't have any of that, but they're certainly very partial to digestive biscuits and honey chicken wings!!!! These little guys came right into our lounge through the open window and seemed completely unphased by our presence, the camera flash and the sound of the shutter. |
