Summary[edit]

Description
English: another "Terrys of Togtown" fashion vignette as published in 1904.
  • Text: We have just bought a new coat for Martha. It is to wear with long skirts, for street wear, or with summer dresses during the early summer months, when the evenings are so cold. I notice that Mrs. Terry never combines the sack coat and short skirt; it isn't a graceful combination. This coat is of tan colored broadcloth, "champagne" is the new name for the same color, trimmed with sitched bands of the same and set off with a touch of brown velvet stitched with champagne silk. Her hat is simple. She will have another later, the styles are changing so rapidly this season. It is of "champagne" colored straw with a garland of pink roses. She can wear the coat with a skirt of any color. Yesterday she ran over to call on the new bride and she wore a black skirt and a champagne colored silk waist with a knot of pink at her throat. Martha is more careful about dress since Mrs. Terry came to Togtown.
