Description
English: Anarchists in London, the funeral of Martial Bourdin. Illustration for The Graphic, 3 March 1894.

Illustration of the funeral procession in London of French anarchist Martial Bourdin. Hundreds of people protested Bourdin's brief burial. Many anarchists and mourners who attempted to attend were violently prevented by the police.

The original newspaper caption reads "Having blocked the streets on several occasions, and by that means got clear of the worst of the crowd, the police then started the procession off at a good sharp trot, and soon succeeded in outrunning those who had got past the barriers. An attempt to out-distance the crowd. Anarchists in London: The Funeral of Martial Bourdin. "
