I was cold, rainy, and windy up here at the glacier snout, I have quite a few layers on. Quite grateful for new gloves. In other words - a great hike. Crater Glacier is a rapidly growing glacier that formed in the crater of Mount St Helens after the 19680 eruption. The 2004 eruption altered this glacier significantly. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crater_Glacier. This was a great hike into the crater of Mount St Helens , guided by Mount St. Helens Institute.
