Summary[edit]

Description
English: Luminescent particles (presumably dinoflaggelates noctiluca scintillans) got caught in seagrass and washed up at the beach of Spiekeroog, Germany. The image was taken as a long exposure, with the photographer walking through the frame and moving the seagrass to induce the bioluminescence. Due to the long exposure time, the photographer is no longer visible.
