Deutsch: Der Wasserfall Viele Landschaftsformen des Südschwarzwaldes lassen sich durch die Vorgänge in den Eiszeiten erklären. Dies trifft auch für den Wasserfall der Menzenschwander Alb zu.Hier trafen die Gletscherzungen des Alb- und des Krunkelbachtals aufeinander. Der vom Herzogenhorn kommende Krunkelbachgletscher war aber mächtiger als der Albtalgletscher des Feldbergs und hobelte das Tal stärker aus. Es kam zu einem Aufstau des Eises und es bildete sich in dem anstehenden Granit eine über 20 Meter hohe Stufe. In diesen Geländesprung hat sich die Alb nach dem Abschmelzen der Gletscher eingeschnitten. Es ist eine Klamm entstanden, die an die schluchtartigen Täler und die Gebirgsbäche zum Beispiel der Alpen erinnert. Ein schattiges und kühles Plätzchen nicht nur für verschiedene Moos- und Farnarten. |
