Summary[edit]

Description These drawings of the Ottoman (Turkish) battleship Messudiye were displayed on Plate 73 in Brassey's Naval Annual of 1903. When the extended refit at Ansaldo ended and the vessel was delivered in 1904, she lacked the two 9.2 inch (23.4 cm) guns shown in the plans. For the rest of her career she sported two large wooden poles acting as gun barrels.
