Summary[edit]
DescriptionMicrolight Wreckage Near Glas Maol Summit - geograph.org.uk - 1446459.jpg |
English: Microlight Wreckage Near Glas Maol Summit This microlight crashed in November 2008. According to the official report "whilst flying low over the top of a flat topped, snow covered mountain the aircraft crossed the wake vortex of another aircraft, which resulted in G-CDML flying into the mountain. Whilst the aircraft was extensively damaged, the soft snow protected the pilot from serious injury." See http://www.aaib.gov.uk/publications/bulletins/march_2009/pegasus_quik__g_cdml.cfm The pilot walked away unscathed.
