Die Mil Mi-4A mit der Werknummer 02 51 wurde 1957 in Dienst gestellt und bei der Transportfliegerstaffel und dem Transportfliegerausbildungsgeschwader 4 mit der taktischen Nummer 785 eingesetzt. Von 1962 bis 1964 flog sie mit dem Luftfahrzeugkennzeichen DM-SPB bei der Deutschen Lufthansa (Ost), danach wurde sie als 792 an die NVA zurückgegeben. 1972 erfolgte die Außerdienststellung und sie wurde an das Armeemuseum Dresden abgegeben. Heutiger Standort, wieder mit dem alten Kennzeichen, ist das Flugplatzmuseum Cottbus.
