Monroe Park in Richmond USA

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Monroe Park is Richmond's oldest park and dates back to 1851. It is close to Virginia Commonwealth University's Monroe Park Campus, has free Wi-Fi, and sees a lot of student traffic. Throughout its lengthy history, the park has hosted agricultural fairs and served as a camp and training place for Confederate troops. Along with the Checkers House and a historical marker, it is also home to a number of historic statues.
