Summary[edit]

Description Built in 1913, the Monte Love Gudger Store was once home to the Barnard’s Station Post Office, later shortened to the Barnard Post Office. The red-brick building is the best-known structure in the community, and stands where the railroad tracks cross Barnard Road near the French Broad River. Though it is no longer utilized as a store, the building appears to still be well maintained.
