Summary[edit]

Description
English: Head of a quartzite block statue. Once dated to the Middle Kingdom, it was later believed to be a 26th Dynasty work (circa 650-600 BCE) depicting the Theban mayor Mentuemhat, in an imitation of Middle Kingdom statuary. Actual consensus dates the statue again back to the Middle Kingdom.[1] Munich, Staatliches Museum Ägyptischer Kunst, ÄS 1622.
