| Description |
English: Montgomery Canal 16 mile milepost. These modern cast milestones are replicas of the originals on the canal. This one is installed on the right bank looking toward Newton. This is the wrong way round for a boater who wants to see the destination place first, not where they have come from. If Newton is on the left the sign should be on the left bank. (SJ3426) |
