Archives E. Z. Massicotte / Album de rues, lithographie. O. Lemire & Co. Le Magasin de la Couronne / The Crown Store. En 1911, la mise en valeur d'un bâtiment historique n'était pas vraiment une priorité. Ici on reconnaît l'ancien bâtiment, déjà passablement modifié, qui abritait la pharmacie Baridon en 1891 www.flickr.com/photos/urbexplo/6939986088

Dans un journal de l'époque on pouvait y lire..."C'est aujourd'hui samedi que s'ouvre notre nouveau magasin, avec entrée principale sur Sainte-Catherine. Vous y trouverez l'établissement le plus modèle et le plus accommodant - le mieux éclairé et le plus central de la ville. Rien n'a été épargné pour le rendre aussi attrayant que possible. Nous voulons que ce soit VOTRE MAGASIN."
