Description
English: Monument to the general Joseph Galliéni (posthumously Marshal of France), military governor of Paris, who organized the defence and the victorious battle of the Marne in september 1914, at the beginning of the WWI.
Français : Monument au général Joseph Galliéni (maréchal à titre posthume), gouverneur général de Paris qui organisa sa défense et la bataille victorieuse de la Marne (septembre 1914). Ce monument (privé de sa statue en 2007 suite à une tentative de vol) se trouve probablement au point le plus avancé de la progression allemande.
