Summary

[edit]
Description Porchat Island is an island located in the municipality of San Vicente, the south coast of São Paulo. It has prime location giving views of the two main beaches in town: Kinks (in the Bay of San Vicente) and Itararé (Atlantic Ocean). The work of world famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer was built to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Brazil. Located 76 meters from sea level, it is the only structure designed by Niemeyer in the entire Brazilian coast.
