Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Headquarters and main branch of Mt. McKinley Mutual Savings Bank, branded as simply Mt. McKinley Bank, at 500 Fourth Avenue in downtown Fairbanks, Alaska. The bank was founded in 1965 by Vernon D. Forbes, who was the last judge of the United States territorial court based in Fairbanks. Forbes took on a new career as a banker when statehood put him out of his judgeship. The bank has approximately a half dozen branches throughout Interior Alaska and competes with other local financial institutions and a host of statewide and national banks and credit unions.
