Description
English: Muhammad Mu'min bin Muhammad Zaman Husaini Tunakabuni Daylami, Tuhfat al-Mu'minin, a comprehensive pharmacopoeia of simple and compound medicines, dedicated to the Safavid Shah Sulayman (1666-1694)

Persia, dated AH 1080/AD 1669

Persian manuscript on paper, 152 leaves, ff. 1 and 56 later replacements, ends abruptly in Bab 24, probably lacking last folio, 21 lines to the page written in naskhi script in black ink, headings and significant words picked out in red throughout, catchwords, eleven tables of the alphabet in various languages, 15 coloured drawings of plants drawn in margins added at a later date, some tables, some staining, later brown morocco, worn, rebacked 225 x 160 mm.
