English: Postoffice from 1931/32 at Munich-Sendling (Harras) by Robert Vorhoelzer and Franz Xaver Holzhammer, a highlight of Neues Bauen-Architecture in Munich. Picture taken by myself (Dominik Hundhammer, February 2005)
Deutsch: Das Postamt am Harras (1931/32) in München-Sendling gehört zu den Klassikern der baulichen Moderne der Stadt.

Architekten: Robert Vorhoelzer und Franz Xaver Holzhammer. Beschreibung: Am Südrand des Platzes liegt ein vorgelagertes weißes Amtsgebäude mit einer Rotunde, dahinter erheben sich hohe Wohnblöcke, die der Platzwand Tiefe geben. Leider weichen diese Blöcke, da nicht durch die Post selbst betreut, heute farblich ab, noch dazu wurden sie im Nachhinein mit maßstablosen Kunststofffenstern ausgestattet. Unter dieser Bausünde leidet das Ensemble, das als typischer Vertreter des Neuen Bauens ohne jede Verzierung auskommt und hauptsächlich durch seine Volumina und Proportionen lebt, erheblich.
