| Description |
English: Murco Service Station, South Mimms Opposite the White Hart public house. The service station includes a cost cutter store acting as a newsagents and store for locals and passing motorists. The Lantern tow truck is collecting a broken down car from the forecourt. He hasn't travelled very far to get here - it's a short walk to their depot at South Mimms services.
Directly outside the Murco service station is the stop for the 84 bus route. This route was always an anomaly within the London Transport network, being a red route that went deep into the country bus area. Nowadays the 84 route is not a TFL route (ex London Transport), but is a commercial operation by Metroline, with support from Hertfordshire County Council and support from TFL over the Barnet to Potters Bar section. TfL Oyster cards can only be used on the Barnet-Potters Bar section. |
